Tina’s yoga journey began over a decade ago while being (happily) dragged by her father to local Jersey Shore classes. Yoga didn’t become a constant until after graduating from College. Tina quickly fell in love with Hot Vinyasa mostly in the style of Dharma Mittra. In 2012 at age 23, she took her first of now seven trips to India to study and discover real yoga.
She enrolled in a “Multi-Style” course at Trimurti Yoga and received her first 200-hour teacher certificate. In 2014 Tina and her husband relocated to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where she found a real need to develop a self-practice because of her lack of teachers. Tina felt a burning desire to learn more about Mysore, Ashtanga, and the eight limbs of yoga, so she enrolled for one month studying with Saraswathi Jois at the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute. She has since been back every year to study with Sharath Jois who has now become her teacher and guru.
Tina is currently practicing Intermediate series under KPJAYI and is an Authorized Level II teacher.
