The 3rd chakra or manipura chakra helps connect us to our inner fire. Manipura means lustrous gem in Sanskrit. This chakra helps connect us to the tapas or burning enthusiasm that keeps us moving forward and excited about our life. The 3rd chakra is often represented by the element of fire. Manipura chakra governs our will power, our ability to make empowered choices and our self-confidence. The 3rd chakra also relates to our digestive system.
Building heat and inner fire in the body makes us feels strong from inside to out. When we connect with our inner strength, we feel empowered which in turn helps us feel more confidence and leads us to make choices that keep us on our path. In this yoga flow, Kezia Tatton, Yoga Academy International lead teacher takes us through an accessible yet challenging practice to heat the body up and stoke the fide of the 3rd chakra.
